What is the best car to modify ?

What is a affordable car that you can make extremely fast and be able to easily find parts for. No I don't want a Honda Civic either. I need a new project

8. for what purpose? drag racing,time attack,scca ,autox ,hill climb,track days, etc? your purpose would dictate the options.

Mid-seventies Camaro, buick regal, olds cutlass,pontiac firebird Fox chassis Mustang You can pick up a 78 Camaro, that someone has already started the modification process for 2500-3000.00 Smallblock V8s are plentiful and cheap, can easily build 500hp.... Tuners are nice... but nothing like a V8 with a highlift cam, breathing through a set of tube headers....
