I have a 98 Dodge Neon with a bad engine - listed the car at $700 thinking I would get $500 for it. I need to get rid of it asap because of parking issues. One of the first people who contacted me lowballed me at $400 but I accepted because I didn't know if I would be contacted by anyone else - hello, not running! - and because I need to get rid of it asap. After I did this I was told that I shouldn't have agreed to the sale. The guy was on his way over so I was told to not contact anyone else and that I'm stuck for it. 2 guys came over and said that they would buy it IF they could find a cheap motor, asked me to take it off the website, and left a credit card as a guarantee that they will buy it. I made out a bill of sale stating that the sale wasn't finalized. Did I do this wrong? Can I contact other people to get a better deal? I was told not to back out because I am female and doing this alone, and the guys might be angry to find that I went back on the sale. Is this a good sale?
