where can I sell my junk car for a good price?

I have a 96' neon and want to get rid of it. It does have some problems, but it runs. I have called some salvage places and they will only give me 100$ for it. It is worth more than that. I also put it on craigslist.com, and nobody contacts me. are there anyother site I can post it on for free. Or do you know of any other places that buy junk cars? I live in the rochester area of upstate, ny. thank you!

1. well you can donate it to charity and they will give you a tax return receipt. This way you might be able to get $200-$250 for it during tax time.
2. The Neon is a "throw away car " . It was not designed to last more than five years. Yours is 12 years old now. That is why the junk yards will only give you $100 for it. All of the car recyclers use the same price guide, and it is based on the weight of the car. Yours is a small light car. Remember that there is NO market for the parts on that 96 Neon, whatsoever. The junk yards are full of those cars, all ready. Do you have fire insurance on it ? Just kidding.......... Jim B. Toronto.
