My Cousin's has a car that repo is looking for, can he still sell it to a junk yard and never worry about it?
The car isn't in his name but he still needs a new car quick and he just moved to this country. So do you think he can still sell thr car to repo or to the junk yard.

- If the car ain't in his came, junk yard won't take it. You need to be able to sign over the title before junk yard will take it.
- hell yeah but dont think its legal some junk yards are shady and will but it though.
- the junk yard will do a title search to make sure that they're not taking stolen goods, and if its being repo'ed then its not his car, it's the finance company's
- Not if he doesnt have the title, in his name.
- No. He needs to just let the repo guys know where it is. Junk yards won't take cars without pink slips. The repo guys won't pay for it either...the loan company wants it so they can resell it and get their money back so they aren't trying to give more money away.
- Try holding a raffel to sell it . Sell 100 tickets for $100.00 each and you give it away. Take the money and pay off the loan and everyone's happy.
- He can't sell what he doesn't own. The bank has a lien on it and it's on the title. The salvage yard may do it if they are dishonest, but they will treat it just like a stolen car and not give your cousin much money. If the junk yard gets caught, then your cousin may find himself heading to the Immigration dept. and heading back to his home country.
