would you by your child's first car online?

my child has been driving a year and want a car his friend father saw one for auction online and he wants to purchase it at cost of 4000.

1. uhh, what website, what kinda car etc.?
2. for 4k, it's not worth it, it could be a piece of crap easily. I've bought two cars on ebay, and they both had problems the seller didn't tell me about. but they were cheap, so I didn't mind as much.... look on autotrader.com, cars.com, and craigslist.com to find local cars, you can look at them in person before buying.
3. not likely,u should not buy a car on-line,cuz u can't test drive it or see the real deal,hope this helps,good luck!
