I would Like to pay for a Car Per month.?

Hi, I would like to buy a used car..about 7 years old or so...I'm looking into something like a VW Polo thats easy to insure since it will be my first car. The thing is I dont have the cash saved up to pay down flat for a car that costs 1500 or what ever...But I would like to pay in monthly Direct-Debits...like 400 quid a month or around there...so i can get if over and done with in a few months. I have seen some that say you pay for the next 5 years..and thats too long for me as I dont like being in debt. is there anything like this in the Uk? After seeing the Bank loan Question. Im not keen on doing this as the Credit-Chrunch makes it hard..and I am 19 so I doubt the bank would even give me a loan

1. Get a bank loan - you can pay that off as quickly as you want (there may be an early repayment fee but not too much)
2. Just save up & buy a car, or get one now for £400. Paying out on a loan is a mug's game
