Do I need 'Sirus Connect' for a satellie ready car stereo?

Hello, I am currently using Sirius through an FM Modulator in my Jeep. I will be buying a new stereo soon, and want one to hook my Sirius directly into. I have been told I will need an extra $100 part, but I still want to use my Sirius unit, not the display on my car stereo. I don't want to continue with the FM modulator though, because I have lost my FM stations. Do I need this box, or do these type of car stereos have RCA jacks on the back, thereby allowing a direct connection with the existing Sirius unit?

  1. I don't understand what you mean by "lost my FM stations" but you have 3 options if you want to continue using your Sirius unit each one better than the rest. You can use the wireless FM transmitter to connect it to your car stereo with both FM frequencies matching. The only problem with this is that you will receive a lot of static in certain towns and you have to have a car antenna. The 2nd way is to use a FM modulator that will plug into the car radio and give you very good sounding connection without static. You might have to but some antenna adapters in order to connect this to your radio. And then the best way is to have a radio with RCA jacks for input and hooking it up to your Sirius unit for a digital connection with the best sound possible.
