How to sell vehicle without being present in the US?

Friends, I will be out of US for next Three months or so. I need to sell my car. I have a friend here in the US who can sell it for fair price. How can I legally perform the transaction? Shall I give my original title to him with letter of authorization? Please reply. Thanks

1. you can go to a notary public with a letter stating that he is able to sell the car. they will stamp it making it a legal document. and make sure you save it because you never know what will happen..
2. All you need to do is sign but do not date the title. When it sells and the money has changed hands have him date it and give it to the buyer.
