Why does Capital One refuse to negotiate, when other banks/lenders will?

- It's a matter of system performance; without tools available to the associate your speaking with they will be unable to assist you. Not to mention Capital One's not really the type to have much available until your in deep. If if you answer that with "I am in deep", then your probably not so bad off. Not to downplay Capital One; it's just a matter of making the option of changing things systematically available. Which in such a steep economic downturn will DEFINITELY prompt enabling those tools if they plan to "steer" their auto loan program through this time. Capital one is a large lending company so loss mitigation during this time definitely has to be a concern sooooo .... Probably just a matter of time cause your definitely not the only person with capital one that cannot make their payments. So I'm going to guess either A. Your not past due enough yet or B. Option not available.
