Is this a good car insurance quote?
I got a quote from Hanover Insurance for my car. I am a new driver age 16. The car: 1973 Volkswagen Beetle, value $5400 The quote: $435/yr Coverage: Full Deductable: $250 Mileage Restriction: 10K/yr Is this good? I bought the car 2 years ago, and my father has been insuring it since then for $112 a year. I am a male I live in central Connecticut My father's driving record is clean I am an A student

- Sadly yes because your 16, the older you get a better history you get the lower it will be.
- very nice car good price as well keep the car u wont regret it
- For your age, it's a good quote. It's more money per year for you because of your age. If you leave the car registration and ownership in your fathers name, then the insurances would be less expensive. And you would still be insured. The insurance policy insures the vehicle while it is being legitimately operated by any licensed driver. Insurance companies catagorize you as an assigned risk because of your age. That's the way it is!
- For car insurance the quick way to get a good quote is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you compare similar options with the same limits, car make, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison. What I most often recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have big name insurers and can give several prices on car insurance polices.
- Sounds reasonable
- Prime, Try getting an online insurance quote It's free and quick to do. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Auto-Insurance-Quote.html Good Luck!
- I found this on this yahoo answers, here is what i usedhttp://www.autoinsuranceselect.com/multiplequotes.html Its quick and easy - and free. I was paying way to much (becuase i was a girl i think) check it out - its saved me some money. http://www.autoinsuranceselect.com/multiplequotes.html
- I think your best option is to get some quotes from a few companies and maybe try a few local agents to try and beat those rates. I used this site when I was looking for insurance and it saved me a lot of time. You can get cheap insurance from many premium providers. Just enter your zip and select from providers for quotes. This is the link I used. http://www.autoinsuranceselect.com/lowcostins1.html Lemme know how it goes -Leah
- It sounds pretty reasonable for a 16-year-old in an east coast metro area, but make sure it's for a full year; most companies write and quote only 6-month terms. Also, is it for state minumum limits? Those are generally little better than jokes, and it's usually pretty cheap to increase them to "safer" amounts.
- Help yourself - you can find much cheaper quotes in internet, for example here - car-insurance.66ghz.com
- Hi Prime, You could get insurance a little cheaper and you can drop the mileage restriction. I can give you a quote: Full Coverage $299 a year. Deductible $250, no mileage restrictions plus towing. This quote is based on a clean DMV record and the info you gave above. Good Luck. I listed my source below.
