what car should I buy in canada for under 10K?

I live in Toronto, what car do you think is suitable for Ontario roads? and does anyone know where is a reliable place to buy cars? I really hate it when I negotiate with car dealers... form my concept,I think Toyota corolla is the best option that I can think of........IF any one can give me a help I'll be thankful

1. I think a Corolla is a good car to have there. I would also try to find a 99-02 Mazda Protege' ES if you can get lucky. I live in Chicago so I cannot make any recommendations about a dealer. But any car in the compact class would do you nicely.
2. Toyota Carolla, Yaris...Honda Civic, Fit. Get a separate set of new snow tires on rims, and get a mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection before you buy the car!
