What type of car suits a lady who is 23 years old and a new driver?
Hello, I'm looking to lease/finance a car within the next 3 months. I am a new driver, working full time and a part time student at night. I need a type of car that is practical, fuel efficient and won't burn holes in my pocket with repairs. Of course anyone wants something reliable and won't get them stranded in the middle of nowhere. I want something that performs as good as it looks as well. Please help me, any suggestions?

- Pontiac Grand Ams and Grand Prixs look nice and run forever!!! WE have had 2 of each of these and loved them all!!!
- A Toyota Corolla is a great car, or any Honda car also. They are super fuel efficient and very reliable. They don't break down and if they do, they won't cost an arm and a leg to fix, like the other imported or luxury cars (ahem...Mazda).
- you can always start out with something like a honda civic or a toyota corolla. They tend to last people 200k+ miles and repairs shouldn't be too costly. I wish i had one of those as my first car. Instead i have a Chrysler just sitting in my driveway collecting pollen...
- Avoid sub compacts as they are not as safe in a wreck. A mid size car like those mentioned or a Camry or a Honda Accord would be good as well. Remember a new driver is more likely to be in a wreck even if it is not your fault. Good luck!
