Are car prices in different regions of the country?

Are car prices (new and used) ifferent in the west coast (California) compared to East Coast (New York, Philadelphia)? I will be moving to California in a few months and was wandering if it is better to buy a car here and than ship it to California, or should I wait and buy a car in California.

2. It's a big differents in prices in different states , I,m not sure which place would have the cheaper vehicle .
3. Take a look at Craig's list. Shipping a car is expensive, far more than any price difference.
