- You need to specify what province/territory you live in. Someone may recommend a company that doesn't actually do business in your province/territory.
- Call many Insurance companies/brokers for the quote and compare the premiums. pick the one that best suits your needs. One Insurance company may offer affordable premium while other may raise it through the roof. For example, the cooperators wanted $4400/year to insure my $400 car while State farm only wanted $2200/year. So, shop around and compare. Pick up the yellow book and start dialling. the only way you can find out about the insurance coverage premium. I live in T.O. Jane and Finch area.
- Canada is a big place. If you live here you should know that. Okay, Ontario has lots of competition in insurance. Your best bet is to go to an independent insurance broker, dealing with several companies, and ask for a print-out of his/her best rates. Take that, and find another broker dealing with some different companies, and ask for the same. Then try an on-line service, like kanetix. http://www.kanetix.ca/ Unless the on-line quotes are a LOT less for the same coverage, stick to the broker, as it gives you somebody you know, somebody you can talk to face-to-face, if you have any questions or concerns.
- I found cheap car insurance for my son at Heritage Hills Insurance. Francesca Berube got me some great deals, I save a lot of money.
