What is a stylish, fast, and easily modified car that is in the range of 11-14k?

I am about to turn 16 and have 11k to spend but can go up to 14k if I need. I want a car that I will have fun modifying and that is fast. Any ideas? I definitely want a manual transmission if that helps. Thanks

1. get a nissan 200sx or silvia, they are 2ltr turbo and after a couple of thousand spent on the engine and bigger turbo/intercooler, and obvious stuff like air filter/exhaust you can get about 600bhp out of them. also they rear wheel drive, so very fun cars
2. Whatever you decide I recommend you buy something rear wheel drive with a manual transmission. You will find over time it's very exciting to burn out and fish tail. After a little practice sitting side ways or drifting will come natural. Be careful of course, I flipped my first car after three days. That is not as fun.
3. you can go with the dodge charger, the 2006 model, nad it has its reasons 1, american made always a plus when you need parts, 2, cost is not much so the money you save you can use for remodeling. hope you get what you want.
