General Motors is having a sale of it's various models, one or two models at a time of it's 08 Optimum used car fleet. The prices seem to be very low, especially if you pay cash. In the advertisements General Motors gives an explanation of why the prices are "too good to be true." I've test drove several of them. There was just something I didn't like about the Buicks when that sale came around, but I test drove an option loaded Chevrolet Impala today and it handled really well. It has a V-6, 3.5 litre engine and low clicks, 23,000 K. I forgot what the power train warranty is but I think it's 5 years or 150,000. Nice and roomy interior. The dealer gave me the exact price of the car, taxes, license transfer, etching, everything. The problem is that it does sound too good to be true and every time in my life I've bought something too good to be true, it's always turned out badly. However there seems to be so many of these sales and the advertisements are from General Motors not the GM Dealerships, I thought I'd ask the mechanics out there. What have your experiences have been with '08 Impalas and what do you think General Motors special Optimum sales? Are they too good to be true or is this a genuine sale?.
