Would you rather have a sports car, or modify your own car?

With money being a factor. If I got a sports car I would be happy, but it would look like everyone else's and I would have no money left over to do anything to it. Or would you rather get a somewhat-sporty car and modify it to your liking, and still have some money left over as insurance would be a lot cheaper, plus no car payments because I would buy this car in cash. Though the sports car would be more reliable since it wouldn't be modified. Give me your input.

  1. I'm an independent, unique guy and would love to mod and customize my own car, But if i had the possibility to get a ferrari or something greater I'd go with that. If you get a cheap, used, POS, and replace almost everything (not with cheap parts and also swapping out the engine) you're looking at $25,000 at least which would be the price of a base model camaro/mustang without the engine it'd be at least $15,000. I've added up the cost of what I'd do to an '89 camaro.
  2. One word- CAPRICE. chevy caprice. Very cheap- easy to maintain- very fast- easy to modify, very strong- indestructable. I hav had my car as a daily driver for three years- 150000miles- only changed water pump- plenty of mods to bolt on. Never let me down- Beats civics and other sports cars with intakes and junk. MY V8 will kill you. This car is AWSOME! why did they make them into cop cars? to catch bad guys in FAST getaway cars.... think about it.
