Overhaulin'

My sister and dad were driving my car....?

My sister has her permit and crashed my car into another car. The actual accident was the other guy's fault. We thought insurance would cover it, but it turns out the insurance excludes everyone except me. Some irresponsibility on my dads end. So now the love of my life is in the shop and I had nothing to do with the crash...on top of that its a 40 year old classic and parts are hell to find...what can i do? If they arnt included in the list of drivers isnt that as good as not having insurance at all?

  1. i think you might need to start searching for parts or rent a car for the time being
  2. if the accident was the other guys fault it should be his insurance company that covers the cost of fixing your car not yours. and if he has none then take him to court.

  4. First of all the insurance will be on your car. It doesn't matter who is driving the car, your car is insured. Unless, you have some special policy that was written up by an agent and there was a specific exclusion noted. This would only happen if you don't have a normal insurance policy (like maybe a classic car policy) frankly, I am not sure that it can happen at all. So, don't worry, your sister and dad and whoever else was driving your car should be covered. If someone at your insurance agency told you that they were excluded I would call back and ask to speak to someone else that knows what they are talking about. Anyway, so once it is determined that the accident was the fault of the other driver this becomes a moot point and their insurance will have to pay for your repairs. Good luck to you.
  5. first, you should collect some resource by searching the relevant keyword in search engine,if you got good luck there ,then your problem solved.however,if you are not able to find the ideal answer by doing that, here http://www.CarInsuranceTip.info/free-car-insurance.htm is the resource i recommend.
