Why do so many people choose a nissan 350z for a street car and modify its performance over others?
Why is the 350z chosen to be used in competitions, and to make them look nice with kits and modify the engines with after market parts over all the other cars they could be spending money on?

- I don't know....give me a good old Mopar anyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- because it looks nice i love nissans i'd get the 350 instead of 370 because its cheaper there allmost the same ps I love nissans my favorite is 1999 skyline gtr r34 i'm so excited about the new gtr by the way if you do get one get really nice rims and tires then its perfect and most people dont tune it so much its just tast good
- because its not to expensive its sexy girls like it and its already faster than almost any other japanese car so if you spend around 2-3 grand on it youl have a 0-60 - 5.0 seconds car and wont be ugly like the other old honda civics...
- Because they picked a car that did not live up to their expectations. So in order to keep up with cars that cost less money they are willing to spend another couple of grand just to get what they thought they were getting in the first place. Their egos will not let them admit they made a mistake. As a result they have to get into competitions with other cars that are not all dolled up just to prove they got their moneys worth. Moral of the story: Buy a Mazda, in the first place! They are cheaper to buy, own and more fun too. Next time you see one of these Nissan 350z cars put "Your So Vain (I bet you think this song is about you)" in your Stereo and crank it UP!
- Compared to many other sport cars on the market, it was the most reasonably priced sports car that you can get bran new. Average base starting price for the 350z was around 22k. So price wise, I believe it is just slightly cheaper to work on to get what you want out of the car into versus other car makes.
