On average how long does it take a car to sale?

I've been looking at this car and it is the best price that I have found. I want to wait until the end of June so I can put a couple grand down on it. My question is..its been at the dealership for about 3 weeks, do you think it will be there when I am ready for it..How long does it normally take a car to sale on a dealer lot? They said that if that car is sold they can find on just like it so Im not too concerned..just curious.

1. end of june? six more weeks? Highly unlikely. Most dealers want a car turned in 30 days. After 30 days, it will be either discounted to try and sell quickly, or sent to auction. Some dealers I know WILL sit on a car forever. But usually that is a losing game, so dont count on it.
