  1. You can certainly find a bargain at an auction but keep in mind that you cannot test drive the car or go over it thoroughly to check for hidden problems such as collision-repair vehicle. While you may find that hidden gem at a bargain price, you may also end up buying a car that will cost thousands of dollars just to get it road-worthy. It is risky.
  2. yeah if it has a full service history
  3. NO It takes a lot of experience to find a real bargain at auctions if you want to invest the time of making a lot of dry runs with someone to help you then by all means try it.
  4. I would definitely recommend it. Base on my personal experience I bought a 97 Honda Civics a couple months ago for a $1700 it was an auction over the Internet, It as about 72,000 miles ,one owner, the inside is in immaculate condition it had a small hit so I changed the hood so far its a good car.
  5. There are all kinds of car auctions -- dealer-only auctions, public/dealer auctions, government seized and surplus auctions, repo auctions, insurance salvage auctions, and private invitation-only auctions. Each one is different and you should decide on which you want to attend, and attend a couple of times before you actually intend to buy, just to learn the rules and process.
