What would happen if all the car delerships refused to trade or sell cars that are manufactured by Gov. Motors? What if every one declared the value of all the cars that will be manufactured by companies who took bail out money as worthless and all the dealers refused to have them on their lots and refused to trade or sell any of them?

- I WOULD NEVER BUY A GOVERNMENT OWNED CAR MANUFACTURED BY OBAMA, IT WILL FAIL.
- The dealers would have no cars to sell. There are already enough dealers selling the other brands, they would go out of business. My right wing cousin doesn't have any problems with "gov. Motors" right now, it kept his ass employed. He runs a GM dealership.
- What would happen is that many hundreds of thousands unemployed. Its insane that people would leave fellow Americans without their jobs just to forward a political point.
- I like how you think this is even possible. It is not. If Americans were concerned enough to "Band Together", they would do it for something more worthwhile than the new car companies. How about: Refusing to pay more than $2.25 for gasoline, EVER. Refusing to let our troops fight in wars that do not concern us and spending BILLIONS of dollars to rebuild 3rd world cities. Refusing to pay more than $30,000.00 for any automobile. Refusing to pay more than $150,000.00 for any house. Not allowing automobiles to go over 100mph, ever. There is no road/Hwy in this country where that speed is allowed. Or maybe just coming together to ask, "Why does a $.99 cheeseburger ring up as $1.06 when, in Michigan, tax is only 6 cents?" Where does that extra penny go? Who gets that? If McD's sells 2 million cheeseburgers in one day in Michigan, they stand to bring in $20,000.00 If I were you, I would concern myself with things that CAN be controlled. Forget about Fantasy Land.
- They're basically franchises of the manufacturer so they would go out of business.
- Well, then you would have government take over of all the dealerships.
- They would have a much smaller selection for their customers. And you'd never get ALL of them to do it. So people will go where they have the best selection and the best deal.
