I'm ordering car parts and I need some help!! It's a Chevy Cobalt. Please help! thank you! READ.?
I need help with the following: I have a 05 Chevy Cobalt LS Coupe. I want to know if the 07-10 CD/Ipod adapter/Radio will fit in my car correctly. As well play music, and would It be able to function with my steering wheel audio controls? Will it actually work when pluged in, if it fits? With out reading a "LOCKED" code. I don't know if it fits, the backs kind of look diffrent, from pictures. Air filter which is better? AC DELCO or Purolator Classic? If you think purolator, could you give me a website to order from? I wanted to change out my lights to Xenon HID Headlight Bulbs, but do I have to get a conversion kit? Or can I just pop the bulbs in their. I hope I don't need to get a conversion kit. What would the best oil for my car be as well? It's a automatic by the way, if you needed that information. Okay, well PLEASE Help me so I can get stuff figured out today. Thank you for you help, I will gladly pick a best answer!!

- #1) unless u order a factory 10 disk changer the switches on ur steering wheel will not work....there are some aftermarket companies fixing this but parts are expensive..... #2) ac or purolator air filters are about the same....pure one air filter is slightly better than the standard..... but if u want good + performance go with K&N .....never have to change it again.....and u will get better mileage and performance #3) just swapping in HID bulbs will not do anything will b same as stock in brightness...u need the transformers to make them brighter......and u also need HID housings or it will b ILLEGAL ....$1200 dollar ticket here...not sure where u live but some areas have as much as a $2500 dollar fine for HID kits without housings...... #4) as for oil....doesn't matter ...if u have over 75k miles u cannot switch it to a synthetic...if u have under u can....but u will NOT b able to switch it back........synthetic will make ur car last longer and perform better.............probably need to swap to 10w30 if u have more than 50k miles on ur car.....i know cap says 5w30...... as for brand that is just a name....(unless ur talking synthetics like mobil one 15k mile oil)...there are only 2 refineries in the US.....so just pick a brand and stick with it.......i use Valvoline high mileage in some of my vehicles castol high mileage in others....wal-mart synthetic in others.....Pennzoil in others.......basically pick one and stick with it.....i personally don't like quaker state but that issue was resolved years ago....
- 1. You need to stay with a GM Delco radio if you want your steering wheel controls to work. You are better off just buying an ipod adapter if you want to use one and leave the stereo in it. 2. Both filters are fine. Go to www.rockauto.com for parts prices. 3. You will need a conversion kit. Xenon is not a bulb, its a lighting system. Otherwise install Sylvania Silverstars or comparable bulbs. 4. Your engines requires a 5W-30 oil. All the top brand name oils are very good, so pick the one you like best and roll with it. As for the automatic, I highly recommend you change the fluid ASAP if it has not been done. That will ensure your transmission will not give you problems. Service the transmission before you spend money on silly HID kits and other crap.
