question about classic cars?

if i were to get a 67 chevy impala but the parts to actually keep it running were too hard to find now, could i just rip everything out and put updated parts in it? *i know that it is a horrible thing to even ask, trust me its the last thing i want to do to such a beautiful car but i'm talking about worst case scenario*

  1. wouldnt be a parts store in town that didnt have the parts so it depends on what parts you needed thousands of them most ready to go waiting but sure you add a brand new motor in it as well many would kil for a 67 impala so many ways to go with it better to keep it as is as much as possible for worth but its yours do what you wish and thats endless
  2. There are numerous sources of parts for the various models by Chevrolet. You could do a "resto mod" where the outside looks stock but it has updated running gear. I would not recommend doing this to a rare car like an SS Impala as it would devalue it substantially. Keeping it on the road won't be hard as they have a tremendous following and as such, parts will continue to be available from a good number of quality suppliers.
  3. There are all kinds of part stores that specify in older car parts that are not very expensive. Not to mention alot of those model Chevrolet's inter change with each other.I have a 1969 Chevorlet Truck, and parts that are harder to find I get from Keystone Industries or here. http://www.carpartswholesale.com/ Hope this helps!
