Can I sell the car I bought with "cash for clunckers" program?

It was a great program, but due to financial harship, I can no longer even keep this car. Does anyone know if I can sell it? I think I remember reading that you must keep the car for at least a year, but I cannot find this info anymore. Thank You!!

  1. Stupid me. Sure you can sell the car you own, why not?!
  2. Of course you can. It's yours. Good lord - people don't read anything anymore. You had to own the car you TRADED IN for a year before you could trade it on the program. Unless you've got something in the contract buying the car it's yours and the finance company's car and you can do whatever you want with it. (Great stimulus example by the way).
  3. yes, its no different than any other vehicle you bought under a loan, the cash for clunkers was just a way to have more money for a down payment thats all
