does driving a vauxhall corsa with a body kit mean you are a chav?
my first car was a modified vauxhall corsa, i wanted a BMW M5 but clearly at 17 that's not going to happen, i like modified cars and i cant really go for toyota Supra and EVO, so i bought myself a vauxhall corsa with a decent body kit. i just hate the stereotype of modified corsa manly being driven by chavs. im 17, in college doing 3 1/2 a levels, achieved 17 GCSE's (B's and A's), going to university next year, do not have an AS BO or even been arrested lol and also i hate burberry, i also never wear tracksuits., do not live in a council flat, and also have a small business currently in development during my spare time. does this make me a chav? clearly not

- Haha, I always see corsa's and automatically think.. Chav. Lol. I'm sorry x] And how the hell did you get 17 GCSE's?! I got like.. 9? maybe? :O What a.. A.. A.. Chav! :P
- I'm an amerifag and understand sum Euro tuning stuff. over here u'd be a ricer, over there a chav. Corsa over there is like a civic over here..... If u like it, who cares what everyone else thinks, personally, I like clean looks, but over there body kits r teh shiz mate, so just go with wut u like... You're 17 and in college, wow dude I'm 20, but I started college when I was 18... hmmm well, good luck w/ yer shit
- it sure does ! and possibly a gangster .
- I am just amazed that you can even spell.
- You like what you like, Chav is a lifestyle and unfortunately modified cars will always be seen as an accessory to that lifestyle. What I actually find more pathetic is grown men in their 30's and 40's that drive lashed up BMW's etc and still think their Gods gift to motoring style. Do what you like, approximately a billion Chinese couldn't care less! lol
- Bit unsure about the comment above about modified cars being chav as i have driven modded vehicles for 21 years and in no way chav if anything far from, and iam sure all the tuners around the World are not chav also. My Nephew is in the same boat as you as the is truly anti chav and has been given a Corsa as a first car, what he is doing is adding mods but keeping them low key with Vauxhall alloys a GSI bodykit and smoothing it,and that's it for the outside, his brother has got one with hood scoop bonnet scoop huge bodykit which does not fit large exhaust with a turbo whistle loads of dials air pipes to the air box by the dozen all on a 1.4 Diesel a difference there. So advice is a Corsa is going to be Chav in some peoples minds but if you do mods stick with ones that blend. And enjoy yours cars till you can built up to a Supra Evo Skyline.
- quite possable but then it is imposable to turn a pigs ar into a silk purse
- I had a Corsa, but left it well alone in the "aftermarket enhancement" department, and it ran lovely for 7 years. Playing with large pieces of MDF to make it look like a rally car (it wont go any faster) just attracts the police and makes you look slightly retarded. Simple youths of a certain IQ did it with Nova's and Chevettes before the Corsa.
