What is a car title loan?

I have a car and a clean title too. I'm in desperate need of $500 right now and I need it TODAY. Theres this place down the street called LoanMax or something that states they do car title loans. Will I get the $$$ today or will it take a few days??? How does the complete process work exactly??? i don't kare about the interest.. i'll pay the entire thing within 5days

1. you put your car title up for collatoral to get the loan. but they have a killer interest rate. i dont suggest getting money this way.
2. As far as car titles are concerned, ive always called the registry of motor vehicles when i wanted to know anything about titles. bettyk
3. Better be careful with those loans, the interest will hurt you if you don't pay the loan off in a decent time
4. You sign your car over to them and they get the car if you default. Generally the rate is 10% per month and yes, you get the money right then. Some keep the car during the loan, some don't. It is on diferent than a pawn shop. Take your title.
