Can buy car with accident record?
I just seen car for sale , Toyata Corolla 2006 . Car looks very good and very nice condition rightnow and only 23000 miles. But while checking it's carfax report I found that the car has two accident on record. One is major(moderate/serious) and one is minor. carfax states that moderate accident was rear side of passenger side of car ( my assumption is that not engine or any mechanical system was damaged-but may be body damage) What is your openion can I buy this car or should I good for another one.

- I would not. Accidents can cause unseen damage that permanently effects the drive of the car, and it could be only noticed later, when you spend more time in it. Aside from that, even when it's just body the car may have been given a cheap repair job for the purpose of selling, in which case the repaired parts of the car will begin to look like garbage. That said, I did once buy a car with fender damage, but the deal was that I chose the body shop and he paid the bill.
