Selling my car? Cars.com, Autotrader, Roadside sign?

I have already listed my car for sale on craigslist, vehix.com, stumblehere.com, hotautodeal.com, and carsonlinefree.com. These listings are new, so i have yet to see how effective they are, but it couldnt hurt. Its a 1990 Mazda Miata and i need the money to purchase a newer car that i found a great deal on. What are my other options for selling this car? Is cars.com better, or is autotrader more effective? Are they worth the price? I don't want to deal with shipping so i dont want to use ebay. I have heard some people have had success with parking it at a busy intersection with a sign on it. What do you recommend?

  1. I used autotrader.com 3 years ago and my car sold within 1 month.
  2. I would suggest looking into craigslist.com as well as autotrader.com. In addition, look into any popular print media, such as a 'Bargain Finder" magazine since there would be more similar vehicles like yours, which can give you a better chance at selling it. Newspapers can be excellent too since the person could be local.
