Can you buy a car in costa rica and sell it in the US?

We are a British couple looking into buying a car in Costa Rica, driving through central america and in the US and then selling it somewhere there. Is it possible for British people to buy cars in Costa Rica without an address here? Is it possible for British people to sell foriegn cars in the US?

1. You cannot sell a Costa Rican car in the U.S. It doesn't meet U.S. bumper standards or emissions standards and may be lacking safety features required in the U.S. You're better off selling it in Central America or Mexico, then buying or renting a car here in the states.
