will our car tow our ponies???? help please? hi, we have a 10Hh shetland pony of average weight and a 12.1Hh stocky welsh section A (both full grown) we have a 2l citroen picasso HDI with towbar and have seen a horse box for sale in our local area, heres a little bit about it (not sure if it helps or not) RICE trailer to take two horses or ponies Removable Partition Rubber flooring Side Ramp - Rubber Matted Rear ramp - Rubber Matted 4 Good Tyres Grooms Door Skylight So i was wondering how do we work out how much the ponies and horsebox weigh to see if our car is even capable of towing it or does anyone know of someone already using this vehicle for this purpose?? any help or tips would be much appreciated as we would love to take our ponies and children out at the weekends :) thank you in advance

  1. My advice is to phone the Citroen dealer and talk to a qualified person there. I needed the same info, couldn't find it even in the manual, but the manager of the sales department had all the answers. Of course, if you tow with an underpowered engine you'll ruin it. You can't risk that.
