Cheap Class C RV (or similar to it) prices?
Okay So I after thinking about the cheapest way for where to live and what to live in to be able to train and work part time, I decided to buy an older RV price ranging 3000-4000$ trying to get the best for my money. I found a couple for sale and was wondering if they are selling at a good price. http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-RVs-campers-trailers-RVs-camper-dodge-250-unik-19-pieds-W0QQAdIdZ195566980 http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-RVs-campers-trailers-RVs-Camper-Nissan-W0QQAdIdZ186674108

- Given the choices I say do the Nissan. It would be far more reliable. But parts for the Dodge would be cheaper b/c it was so common. Have then both inspected thoroughly.
- If you are considering a class C RV make sure you give it a good checking out before you buy it. We have been looking for over two years for an RV like a class C. So far we have not found one that has not leaked or is currently leaking. Be sure to check around all the roof vents and around where the walls and roof meet. Also the place where they all seem to be leaking is up over the cab area in the corners and around the window in the over the cab area. We found one that looked like it was almost new and thought we had finally found that one that was not or had not leaked. We found out real quick that looks were very deceiving. It was lucky for us that just as we started to look at it a storm came up and it poured rain for a few minutes. I really think that the shower in the bathroom could not put out the water like the area above the cab did. It wasn't dripping, it was running a good sized stream of water down inside the wall. We gave up on the class C kind and went with a fifth wheel. They to can leak but don't seem to be as bad as the class C were. To find out the actual price try going to your bank or credit union and speak with a loan officer. They can tell you for sure the actual value of the vehicle. Also keep in mind that any low mileage might be a good buying point but it could also be a bad point to because if it has set for a long time the seals inside the engine could be all dried out and cracked and will leak oil badly once you start driving it a lot or the wheel cylinders could be bad from setting as well and the hoses and belts could be bad to from setting for long periods of time, or the rings may be stuck for setting so long. Be sure to check the tires for dry rot to. If you need to replace all the tires you could spend upwards of 1200-1500 dollars. All of these things could end up costing you as much as you may pay for the vehicle. Do your homework before you spend your hard earned money.
