What are some good tips to buy a cheap use car besides going through a dealer or craigslist?

Or the classifieds? Churches, organizations, etc......would like ideas about unusual places to look that I may not have thought of.

1. If you have friends who have extra cars just ask them if they could cut you a deal and since they are friends the will definantly cut you some deals. My friend got a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo LSE for $3000 from another friend with only 72,000 miles! Some garage sales also have cars for cheap. And if all else fails I don't know why craigslist would hurt.

I would download this free application: http://www.myshoppingenie.com/cheapstuff basically what this app does is every time you search for a product on google/yahoo/bing, it will automatically search the whole internet for the cheapest price of what you are looking for. I got my car at an awesome prices using it. Check it out! it hasn't disappointing me so far. Let me know if you need anything else. it will also search amazon, ebay, and craigslist
3. You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net
4. www.carsforagrand.com such a cool website. Has nice cars for really cheap. I look there all the time.
