What kind of training needed to modify/tune high performance cars?
Here's a scenario- John is a pretty wealthy guy and he's into cars but not knowledgable enough to modify his own car. He would like to add forced induction and other high performance modifications to his vehicle, so he decides to send it to a Tuning shop/team and pay them to mod his car. -How can I be the man that john takes his car to?

- Usually everyone will start at a mechanic school. Than you will pick things up like that as you work in the industry. Its relatively simple once your knowledgeable on basic mechanics of a car. Working on the ECU which is 80% of performance tuning is a different ball park. You have to buy the programs and either find someone to teach you, or learn yourself through trial and error. There are tons of guides online.
- First of all u gotta know your intake from your exhaust. ie know how the internal combustion work etc etc If u r going as far as turning naturals to forced u gonna need some resources to do some fabricating as all cars do not have a superior model that has a forced induction U gonna need some access to a dyno and do some work on tuning the ecu parameters or get help from a tuner/chipper U gonna need a lot of patience Once u get the knowledge...invest on the best u can afford..be it tools, machines or software Give John a call and give him a date and a time to bring his car in. Good luck mate
