Should I buy this car? Please Answer?

I REALLY NEED AN ADVICE..................PLEASE I found a Honda civic si 2008 model on internet and I contact the dealer and did a test drive today. The car is running fine and the car is modified with bodykits, big and loud mufler and air intake (I think) under the hood. The price is also $3000 lower than KBB value. The saleman said the price is cheap because it is a modifield car. And then I went home and buy a CARFAX report and Carfax history say Alert! Severe problems were reported by a state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This vehicle does not qualify for the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee. Severe problems were reported by a state department of Motor Vehicles. and its not qualify for the carfax buyback guarantee. The detailed History exactly said that Source: Virginia police report..........Comment:Accident reported in Hampton, Involving rear impact, It hit another motor vehicle, Vehicle towed ,Airbags did not deploy Source: Virginia Motor Vehicle Dept......Comment: Total Loss Vehicle, Salvage Title/Certificate Issued, Rebuilt Title Issued Here a Link that You can see the car pictures http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/img_popup.jsp?car_id=276701377&photoIndex=1&isStock=false

  1. ehh maybee...... get some advise from and auto dealer
  2. it was a total loss, the vehicle had an accident in which was totally destroyed, but unfortunately it was repaired and got back to normal, stay away from it!!!!! BTW next time ask a dealer for Carfax, its free, again dont buy that car
  3. Don't do it!! I also found a car on the internet, and it LOOKED fine. Thing needed so much repairs it would have been cheaper to buy something from a used car lot.
  4. You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.deep-ice.com
  5. Well, i heard that its harder to insure and register a salvaged car, let alone a salvaged modified car, so I think you should pass on it. Its probable that this vehicle is a racer car, so the previous owner could have "abused" this car in the form of redlining it all the time and driving real hard. Keep on searching...there are more out there
