how long does it take for new car prices to drop?

as the title. do car prices drop over time (when they are new). for example, a car will be £10,000 when it is released, but will it stay the same price until the next version is released?

1. Depends on the manufacturers offers through the garage sales departments most cars have a set retail price until they are sold unless there is a promotional discount.
2. The car value drops as soon as you drive it off the dealer lot .
3. Most likely to stay the same for a while then increase slowly. If they need to shift cars more rapidly they may have some short term promotions that reduce the price of give free extras.
