Overhaulin'

Is there a car-buying agent that I can pay and who will negotiate new car prices on my behalf?

I am thinking of buying a new car. Is there a service out there that will do that leg work of negotiating for a low quote?

  1. I never heard of such service but if one exists I am pretty sure it won't be free. Why don't you bring someone with you who knows about cars to help you in negotiation process.
  2. http://www.costcoauto.com/enterzipcode.aspx?gotourl=%2fresearch%2fhow.aspx
  3. Just spend $15 and buy a consumer reports "dealer cost" for the car you want, then negotiate yourself.
  4. If you belong to a credit union they usually have a buying service. They do all the work and and also the financing for the vehicle. Or if you belong to Costco the can refer you the the right dealership and you won't have to negotiate the price, they have a set price for costco customers.
