How much should I expect to get when I trade in my truck (07 Silverado)?
I have a 2007 Classic Silverado reg cab short bed, 4.8 V8 Work Truck. 17,500 miles. Blue book trade in says 9900. How accurate do you think that would be? If it depends on the new car it will probably be a tacoma. Thanks, Brian

- 1000 to 2000 less than what you could get by selling it from home since dealer has to make money he not going to pay much for it so less than blue book he might make you think your getting a deal but he wins everytime if your trading
- most online evaluations run high then if you trade it in they will offer you about half of what it's worth. btw never let on that your including a trade in the deal till "after" you've finished haggling over the price.
- Dealers buy cars on average 2-3 grand back of book. It doesn't matter what you're trading for, but consider this, chevy dodge and ford build trucks that can work, while the tacoma is a good truck, it can't hack heavy work so if you're using this truck for real work, you're better off keeping the silverado. Take care of it, and it'll outlive the yota, the vortec is the best motor in the world.
- Be informed when going to trade in your vehicle to a dealership. Go there with the most of information so that you cant get taken advantage of.
- Keep your Chevy!! Don't trade it for a Tacoma!!
