auto;s where do the old models go when the new models come out?

every year car manufactors comes out with a new year model where doe;s the preveous year model go to. we have the 2010 model up on us now where does the 2009 models go.are the lamps lens change or what

1. thay dont go any where thare sold just like the new ones
2. They're like orphans waiting to be adopted. In a few years they will be so old, nobody will want to adopt them, just like orphans. Maybe they can get legally emancipated?
3. They will try to sell them and as they get desperate they'll start handing deals out for them. If they can't sell them they'll usually pardon them off to some other dealership, usually a privately owned one that will sell any make of car. Some are crushed and some are donated or sold cheaply to businesses or schools for whatever uses they need. They do hold onto the cars though for as long as they can cause eventually they will sell.
