how do you put someone on your car title loan with you after you've had the car for a few years?

my husband wants to put me on his car title. the car is almost paid off, we have 11 more months to pay on it and then we own it. we are wanting both of our names on the title. is this possible? if so how do we do this?

1. If he's your legal husband, you are already legally binded to that car Its joint property when you got married, and if he decides to stop paying on the car, the title holder can sue YOU... so there is no need
2. pay it off then you can do it,bank wont let you,they have the title.
3. You have to call the finance company, and have the loan rewritten in both names. There will be fees involved. It's much cheaper and easier, to just wait until the car is paid off. Keep in mind, once you get the car retitled, you will most likely need to get the tags changed, as well.
