  1. some companies will offer a 30 day grace period ... some do not but instead go by specific dates. the only way to know for sure is to call and ask. .
  2. So get off the computer, pick up the phone, call them and tell them when you can make the payment, and see what they say.
  3. It depends on what state you are in. They issue a cancellation notice, that gives you from 5 to 30 days to pay . . . depending on what state you are in.
  4. that depends on how far out you are paid. Only way of knowing is if you call them and ask or when you receive the cancellation letter that says the last day. They dont give any grace periods.
  5. Technically, if the premium is not paid by the due date, the policy is lapsed and you are uninsured. Call Geico and see if you can work out a payment plan with them. Some companies let you pay by the month.
  6. there is a date on your bill, but in general it's 30 days, except in states that mandate no cancellation for 60 IF it's a new policy.Call the service center and explain the problem; I'll tell you that I, a customer service rep II, can put a hold on an account for good cause without having to clear it with anyone. it is usual to place a 10 day hold, ASK NICELY. tell the rep you would appreciate anything they can do, and see if your payment date can be reset, too. And try to pay more than your bill, if you can ever manage it.
