I'm thinking about changing car insurance. Does Geico provide good customer service?
Their quote to me was amazingly cheap and that makes me a little nervous. You get what you pay for is what I have always heard. Anyone had their insurance through Geico? Good or bad experiences, please.

- I've known people who has had Geico, and according to them, the price was actually more expensive. Almost everybody I know is using Allstate Insurance. I am not too sure about Geico myself, because I have used Allstate from the start. I'm currently 19 years old, and first got my car at age 17. And since then, my insurance has gone down by half. I live in NYC and drive a sports coupe.
- I found Geico to be higher then many of the other companies I tried. I'm with Progressive now and the rate with Geico was almost double! I was with esurance, and their customer service was fine-however, I never had an accident or claim. Geico has a highly rated customer service, if they gave you the best rate then try them out. Nothing says you can't switch if you are unhappy.
- Check out what actual insurance customers said about them, and many other companies: http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/auto-insurance-provider-ratings This is the same J D Power that rates autos, so it's presumably unbiased.
- Geico was strangely cheaper for me, however i got into a minor accident the other day and they raised my premium by about 500 dollars. Now it is no longer cheaper for me.
- Geico is a good company rather one of the leading insurance companies. If you are thinking of changing your company then I would suggest you to go for online quotes. By online quote you can get quote from different companies and check the coverages and price before making your decision. Donot forget to ask for the different discounts you may be eligible.
