- NO! If you don't pay, neither do they!
- unfortunately you are not covered. progressive owes nothing to you. the policy was canceled and you were notified that it was going to be canceled. they only cover instantces within your coverage dates. there is nothing you can do.
- sorry..they have a grace period but you went over the grace period..lets hope they did not report you to the DMV your license could get suspended for non payment in some states
- The insurance company will not pay for your car. You could try to sue them but it would do no good because they notified of the cancellation. You sound like you are still in high school (your mom still pays for your insurance), so i would suck it up and buy a beater car. Also, don't put a sound system in your new car, because it is one more thing that thieves look for. P.S. Did they break into your car and hot wire it or did you leave the keys in the ignition?
- Progressive owes you nothing for the car. They sent you a bill and it wasn't paid. They sent you a notice saying that the insurance would be cancelled and it still wasn't paid. So they cancelled your insurance. By not paying your bill, you voided the contract and any obligation they would have to reimburse you for the car. You could try to sue them, but that case would be thrown out without a second thought. Take it as a learning experience. Pay your bills on time and avoid situations like this. Also, if you knew the insurance was cancelled, why were you still driving the car? In most states, that grounds for suspending your license and impounding your car.
- maybe call an attorney
- What does this mean?..."Then on April 17th it got finalized!" It's simple. You either had insurance or you didn't
- You paid nothing therefore you received nothing. Being an adult means looking after your own finances, not relying on mommy to do it for you. You can call a lawyer, but be prepared to be literally laughed at.
