How much should I expect my car insurance to cost?

I am 20, female, in college, decent grades, this will be my first car, i will be driving a relatively cheap car. 199? Honda civic/accord...something along those lines. I live in a very small town. I will only be driving about 10 minutes a day commuting to work and school. i wont be added to my parents policy, i will have my own. I tried doing a free quote thing, but i guess my town is too small, it didn't recognize my address! but from people who actually pay car insurance and know a think or two about it, i am curious as to how much i should expect it to be! http://gusdur.cn/car-insurance.html

  1. Congratulations on your "decent" grade....But that won't get you a better rate. sorry !! I can tell you that it won't be cheap. If you were added on to your parents it would be a little bit cheaper. Driving only 10 minuets from school is a plus. It being a "relatively cheap car" is a plus, Being 20 years old is certainly NOT a plus. If the car is paid for, then you won't have to have full coverage on it. You get away with only "liability" coverage. That will make it alot cheaper. Call around and get quotes for "liability"" coverage. (liability covers the other person and their vehicle should you be in an accident, but NOT your vehicle) I'm going to guess in the $50 - $75 a month range. I've got a 96 model nissan and mine is $35 a month but I am older than you.
