Do dealerships buy used new cars?

I have a 2006 Mazda6 and want to sell it and possibly trade it in for a cheaper car at a different dealership. Do dealerhips buy new cars (I know they can pay the trade-in value for what it's worth) not even for a trade? Or could I purchase a cheaper car and they pay the difference?

  1. ok one it is not a used new car i dont understand ur question
  2. Just take it in, get their pay, then buy a cheaper car.
  3. New car dealerships do not buy used cars. They will give you less than the car is worth on trade in. Your best bet is to advertise it in your local newspaper and sell it that way. Also when dealer tells you that he will pay off your balance, he will only pay an amount equal to the value of the car. The remaining balance will be added on to back end of your new car deal. You have to be saavy when dealing with car dealers.
