Buying a new/used car?

What is a good, cheap, affordable, good on gas, car to buy? I am not buying a brand new one, but yet a newish used one, like a 2006 or 2007 model with low mileage...any picks or advice?

1. Try to find one that has remaining factory warranty, at least on the power train. Hyundai's have come a long way, and have happy consumers for the money. PT Cruiser might be another good choice. Good luck shopping.
