cheapest way to buy a car?

I'm looking to buy a car (used or new) and i'm wondering if anybody can help me figure out what would be my best option... Do you think it would be cheaper in the long run to shell out the money for a new or almost new car, or to buy a used one cheaper that might need work in the future?

  1. It depends on what car it is. Research about the car that you want and find out if it will need future repairs if it is used. If it is new it is always good because you wont have to spend money after because you will have warranty.
  2. your best option is to buy a older honda civic/accord or toyota camry/corolla from a private seller, good reliable cars...just make sure it's in good condition. Don't go to a dealer they will try to rip you off!!
  3. I would buy a used one that is in good condition and save the rest of my money for other things. You'll end up saving money in the long run. It's also a good idea if you just need something to get you around town for awhile. You can get pretty cheap cars at auctions nowadays.
