If I buy a new car at Carmax, do I have to service it there?
I'm looking at a new Chevy at Carmax in Kenosha, WI. We live a little far from there, plus haven't heard much good reviews about Carmax service. Can I just go to the dealer closest to me and get all my warranty and other service?

- You can have it serviced anywhere you want. There is nothing the dealer can do about that.
- Car repair shops can be a very personal thing for people. I would get the car you want.. Then have it repaired and serviced by the people that you trust that are close to your home. If you don't have a shop, ask your friends whom they use.
- you certainly may. Carmax is good about scaring the hell outta people about bringing the vehicle back to them. The honest truth is that if they muscle you bringing it back to them, they are in direct violation of the Free Trade Agreement. I dont remember the exact code, but if you run across this, I can get it for you from my job, we have volumes about this kind of stuff readily available. good luck
