What's the name of this Japanese movie?

I remember watching it in 6th grade, which was about 3-4 years ago and it was about this struggling manga artist who knew this little boy, I think it was like a classic Japanese movie and it was set in the old days. I think they had separate main characters and one was a girl who had moved in with this family because she wanted to be an engineer but the family owned a bike shop. It was comedy like and there was a cream puff and she found out later it was rotten because the fridge broke. Also I remember the part about the manga artist guy. The little boy had these really good ideas for his manga and the guy cheated off the boy. But the manga artist gave the little boy a fountain pen and he was really happy. In the end, there was a car driving away with someone in it and I think the man was running after it. And also no one had a tv back then so people would flock to anyone who owned a television set.
