Any classic car restoration answers out there?
Concerning an engine dress up kit, I have seen some paint finishes referred to as "crinkle paint" and "wrinkle paint." Are they one in the same or two different finishes? Also and more importantly, is a wrinkle finished piece of steel resistant to rust? This is the dress up kit I'm considering: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRO-141-758/ 10pts for best answer. Thanks in advance.

- Wrinkle and crinkle are the same. Any paint will help resist rust. Some paints are specifically for that though. It doesn't say anything about the paint formula you're getting being a rust protector, just it's texture. As long as the paint stays on the metal, it will do its job. Crinkle finish may hold more grime build up than a smooth finish.
